Augustin de Romanet de Beaune (born 1961) is a French banker, political advisor and business executive. He served as the Chairman of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations from 2007 to 2012. He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Paris since 2012.

Early life

Augustin Romanet de Beaune was born on April 2, 1961 in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, France.[1] He was raised in a Roman Catholic family ennobled in the 14th century.[1][2] One of his uncles is a bishop.[1]

He graduated from Sciences Po and the École nationale d'administration.[3]

Career

He started his career at the Minister of the Economy. He then served as the Managing Partner of Oddo et Cie, a French investment bank, from 1999 to 2002.[3]

He was Cabinet Secretary to the Minister of the Budget, Alain Lambert, in 2002, and to the Minister of Employment, Jean-Louis Borloo, 2004.[1] Later that year, he worked in Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin's cabinet.[1] He served on the city council of Bellême in the Orne department for nineteen years.[1]

He served as Head of Strategy of Crédit Agricole and Chairman of Egis Group.[3] In 2007, he became the Chairman of the Caisse des dépôts et consignations,[1][2] He served as the Chairman of Fonds stratégique d'investissement, a state-owned investment fund until March 7, 2012., and was a Director of OSEO Financement, subsidiary of EPIC OSEO.[3] He stepped down as Chairman of the Caisse des dépôts in 2012.[2]

He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Aéroports de Paris since 2012.[1][3] He has served as the Vice President of TAV Airports Holding since 2013.[3] He also serves as the Vice Chairman of InfraMed.[3]
