The BYD Flyer is a city car originally developed by government owned Xian Qinhuan Automobile. It has been produced by BYD Auto, a Chinese automobile manufacturer in Shenzhen, since 2004.[1] The three- and four-cylinder engines used are based on old Suzuki units.
- Qinchuan QCJ7081 Flyer - introduced in 2001, facelifted Flyer Fuxing appeared in October 2003.
- BYD Flyer I - Sales under the BYD brand started in 2004.[1]
- BYD Flyer II - Facelift version (March 2005) is sold in Russia and Ukraine.

The Flyer has been replaced by the more modern looking BYD F0, although brand new Flyers are still available: during the first half of 2010, 4 BYD Flyers were sold in China.[2]
