Babu Divakaran is an Indian politician and a former Minister from the state of Kerala. He was born in Pattathanam, Kollam. on 5 November 1952 as son of former Kerala minister T.K.Divakaran. He started his political career in Revolutionary Socialist Party. When RSP split, he joined Revolutionary Socialist Party (Bolshevik) along with Baby John, Shibu Baby John, and A.V. Thamarakshan. When RSP (B) split in 2005, he formed Revolutionary Socialist Party (Marxist).[1] In 2008, he merged his RSP(M) with Samajwadi Party.[citation needed] In 2009, he revived RSP (M).[citation needed] But later, he merged his party with Indian National Congress.
