Badran Mohammad Al-Shaqran (born January 19, 1974) is currently a retired Jordanian professional football player. He made his professional debut in the Jordan League in 1993 for Al-Ramtha SC. He played 3 games in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 1996 for FC KAMAZ-Chally Naberezhnye Chelny. He currently coaches Jordan U-19.
Career
He is one of the previous team-captains of his national team until he retired. The mark of his retirement in playing football took place on July 13, 2011 in Amman at the Amman International Stadium before a friendly match between Jordan and Tunisia in preparation for the 2014 WC qualifications. Before he officially retired, Badran played the first 5 minutes of the match. As match referee blew his whistle after the first 5 minutes to stop the match for Badran to leave the field, Badran gave the captain armband to his old international teammate Bashar Bani Yaseen as well as his #20 jersey to his young teammate of Al-Ramtha SC Hamza Al-Dardour.
