Bahawalpur Central Library
The Bahawalpur Central Library (also known as Sadiq Reading Library)(Urdu: سنٹرل لائبریری بھاولپور) is an old library of Pakistan located in Bahawalpur city of Punjab province. The library was founded on 8 March 1924 by Sir Rufus Daniel Issacs and Sadeq Mohammad Khan V.[1][2] The construction of the building was carried out by donations of 100,000 rupees by the people of Bahawalpur State.[2]
The library is second largest in the province of Punjab, Pakistan.[1][2] It is well-stocked library with collections of over 100,000 books.[2]
The library is dived into three sections: main hall, children’s books section and an audio visual archive section.[2] The library also has older editions of newspapers.[2]
