Benjamin Strettell Clarke was the third Archdeacon of Liverpool, serving from 1887[1] until his death [2] on 18 November 1895.[3]

Jones was educated at Trinity College, Dublin[4] and ordained in 1846.[5] He was appointed the Perpetual curate at Christ Church Southport in 1849.[6] Later he was the incumbent at Eccleston, Cheshire.[7] His sons were also Anglican priests.[8][9]
