Beshr ibn Hasan (Arabic: بشر بن حسن) is Hasan ibn Ali's son[1][2] who is considered among the dead (martyrs) of Karbala,[3][4][5] despite that, there has not been mentioned regarding the circumstances of how he was killed by the enemy.[6][7]
The first individual who named Beshr ibn Hasan as martyr (among the martyrs of Karbala), is Ibn Shahrashub; he writes, after counting the children of Hasan ibn Ali who were killed by the enemy in the battle of Karbala "... and it has been said that Beshr has been martyred, too."[8]
It has been reported that Hasan ibn Ali had twenty sons, and seven of them (among Beshr ibn Hasan) participated in the battle of Karbala, and six of them were killed by the enemy.[9] Among Beshr ibn Hasan's brothers who were present at the event of Ashura, are: Amrobne Hasan (who was killed in the event of Karbala when he was a child),[10] Hasan ibn Hasan (who is famously known as Hasan Mothana), Qasim ibn Hasan (who is considered among the martyrs of Karbala), Abdullah ibn Hasan (Abdullah Asghar) and his other brothers.[11][12]
