Blattellinae is a subfamily of the cockroach family Blattellidae. It includes the global household pest Blattella germanica, the German cockroach.[1] It contains six genera:
- Blattella Caudell, 1903[2]
- Ischnoptera Burmeister, 1838[2]
- Lobopterella Princis, 1957[2]
- Parcoblatta Shellford, 1911[2]
- Pseudomops Serville, 1831[2]
- Saltoblattella gen. nov., 2009[3]
- Symploce Hebard, 1916[2]
Saltoblattella, which contains the single species Saltoblattella montistabularis, was described in 2009 and preliminarily placed in the Blattellinae subfamily, although its position within the family Blattellidae was not clear.[3]
