Bondeno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Ferrara in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Bologna and about 15 kilometres (9 mi) northwest of Ferrara.

Bondeno borders the following municipalities: Cento, Felonica, Ferrara, Ficarolo, Finale Emilia, Mirabello, Mirandola, Sant'Agostino, Sermide, Vigarano Mainarda.

Trivia

In the 1463, in the city of Bondeno was probably printed the first movable character book of the whole italian history, a Bible, using the printing press method.[3]
