Bruce Philip Martin (born 25 April 1980) is a New Zealand cricketer who has represented New Zealand in Test cricket. At domestic level he has played for the Northern Districts for 10 years, in the State Championship and Northland in the Hawke Cup, and in 2011 debuted for The Auckland Aces. Martin is a slow left-arm orthodox spin and right hand batsman.

School times

He was born in Whangarei and attended school in Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands.

Martin has played 3 Tests and 9 ODIs for New Zealand's U-19 side, selected for New Zealand A side in 2004 and in the NZ A Emerging Players tournament in Australia in 2011. Martin enjoyed an outstanding debut season for the Knights in 1999/2000 taking 37 wickets and has taken 5 wickets in an innings on 11 occasions, a 7 wicket bag in the 2010/11 season for Auckland; as well as acquiring 113 (not out) batting at no. 10 for NZ A vs Sri Lanka A.

Domestic career

Named the Northern Districts cricketer of the year in 2003/4 and selected for New Zealand A side in 2004 and Emerging Players 2011.
