Burabay District (Kazakh: Бурабай ауданы, Russian: Бурабайский район) is a district of Akmola Province in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the town of Shchuchinsk.[3] Population: 81,739 (2009 Census results);[4]73,169 (1999 Census results).[4]

On September 3, 2009 Schuchinsk District was renamed to Burabay District[5]
