The Carnival of Las Palmas (also Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is one of the most famous Carnivals in Spain. The event is held each February and hosted by Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Events include the Queen Gala and Draq Queen Gala. The main parade, or "Cabalgata", is viewed by 200,000 people every year along with its six kilometer route across the city.

The Carnival of Las Palmas has been involved in controversial times. Among them is the controversy by joining the Carnival of Las Palmas of the act of "Los Indianos" belonging to the Carnival of Santa Cruz de La Palma[1][2] or joining the Carnival of Las Palmas of so-called "Carnaval de Día" which belongs to Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and to use the same model of retransmission of Tenerife.[3]
