Category:Patronymic surnames

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This category is for surnames that are derived from patronyms. For example, the modern English Johnson is derived from a patronym, and no longer is used to show the name of the bearer's father. True patronyms, like the Icelandic Jónsson, should not be included in this category.
