Is this category really necessary? The DSO was practically a gimme for any halfway decent battalion commander - with thousands of recipients, how would anyone ever catalogue them all here? Seems like a waste of bandwidth. Michael Dorosh 18:26, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree but there is no stopping it or even renaming it to "Notable Companions of the Distinguished Service Order". There's also a catagory for Recipients of the Purple Heart. --† Ðy§ep§ion † Speak your mind 00:35, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since there are also categories for the far more numerous MBEs and OBEs, it ought to be here for consistency's sake. -- Necrothesp 18:17, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could it be possible that the section is incomplete? I know of a airman called Donald Mason DSO and Bar, DFC who served with 7, 57, 235 and 620 squadron as a pilot and later as a radio observer who isn't listed.--Russhayley (talk) 20:11, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
