I'm unsure how to add defunct police agencies in Oregon to this list but the small amount of info I've been able to learn from both volunteering at the local historical museum and from the local police department; Marshfield residents voted to change the name of their town from Marshfield to Coos Bay, so the Marshfield Police Department became the Coos Bay Police Department.

Also there were 2 other cities that had their own police department before merging with the now Coos Bay Police Department and they are Eastside and Empire. I believe they merged with the Coos Bay Police Department somewhere between 1950 and 1980.
