172.129.15.180 (talk) 02:07, 18 February 2009 (UTC)****1959 I was off Cuba on a Destroyer when a Rogue wave hit our ship. It was a clear ,beautiful day when it came with no warning and washed a Sailor overboard with a power that that gashed his body greatly.He was dead.we were doing asw exercises and a blimp hovered over his body and they reported the sharks came to the blood like a cloud as there were so many of them. The crew on the blimp threw hand grenades to keep the sharks away.I would sure like to hear from any one that also experienced that wave. It must have covered a large area.
