What is Thought?

[edit]

How do we notice our 'Thoughts?'

If we desire to notice our thoughts, the first step is to be aware of that we have thoughts. The next step is writing down our thought of the moment. Identify the emotional, psychological and physical effect of the thought. We might want to follow through in our thought where this thought is leading us, the thoughts will actually give us detailed messages, ask our thoughts, “What are you trying to tell me?” They’ll happily give us additional information to help us decode their meanings. We have noticed our thought and allow it stay, while keeping an objective distance from it. The thing to remember is that we cannot deal with these thoughts on their own level; we cannot overcome thoughts by more thoughts. Our thoughts under the gaze of concentration and observation reveal its own nature; by carefully observing, objectively, we see how thoughts have come into existence, those who are aware of their thoughts become skilled at reading the meaning of what we are getting caught up in. Continue working on observing our thoughts, soon is going to be evident to us our thoughts penetrate daily and that produces this feeling, can it ever end. Unless we acknowledge the existence of thoughts, and understand the enormous significance of it, to end thoughts completely is the most difficult thing to do, before we can go into the question of ending thoughts, we must understand what thought is.

What is Thought?
[edit]

What we call thought is the result of thinking. Our thought often communicate messages to us, they do these in two ways first they whisper in our ear so that we are hearing it, second way in which the thought show us is by physically arranging for us to feel it, this skillful communication is thought and the feeling from effect of the thought should be faced. When we see the first sign of thought otherwise feeling that tend to drag us down, instead of letting feeling have their way, we must try to notice our thought. Our feeling can be stopped through the method of observation and recognition of our thoughts.
