The Chairperson of the National Public Safety Commission (国家公安委員会委員長, Kokka Kōan Iinkai Iinchō)[1] is the member of the Cabinet of Japan in charge of the National Public Safety Commission.

But it used to be written as the Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission[2]. Jirō Tsuji was inaugurated as the first chairman in 7 March 1948. As of 3 August 2016, the current chairperson is Jun Matsumoto[3].
