Charlie Plummer (born May 24, 1999) is an American film and television child actor, best known for playing the lead roles of Timmy Sanders and Jack in the series Granite Flats and film King Jack, respectively.

Early and personal life

Plummer was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, to actress Maia Guest and writer-producer John Christian Plummer, who married in May 1996.[3][4]

Career

In 2011, Plummer starred in the eight episodes of the HBO's series Boardwalk Empire, he played a significant role of Michael Thompson in season 2, 3 and 4.[5]

In 2012, Plummer played a supporting role of Grace's little brother in the drama film Not Fade Away along with John Magaro and Bella Heathcote.[6] The film was directed by David Chase and released on December 21, 2012 by Paramount Vantage.[7]

In 2013, Plummer joined the BYUtv's drama series Granite Flats, in which he played the lead role of Timmy Sanders along with Malia Tyler.[6][8][9][10] He starred in all 24 episodes of three seasons, which premiered on Netflix and officially ended on June 25, 2015.[11]

In 2015, Plummer played the lead role of Jack in the drama King Jack along with Cory Nichols and Christian Madsen, directed by Felix Thompson.[5] The film was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17, 2015.[12] He was among the top six actors who screen-tested for the lead role of Spider-Man to cast in the upcoming reboot film.[13][1] But later On June 23, 2015, Sony and Marvel selected Tom Holland for the role.[14]

In December 2015, Plummer was cast in the independent drama Behold My Heart and filed his role alongside actors Marisa Tomei and Timothy Olyphant.[15]

Plummer is currently filming a drama thriller film The Dinner along with Richard Gere, Steve Coogan, and Laura Linney, with Oren Moverman directing.[16]

In September 2015, Plummer was cast as the male lead in the Jerry Spinelli book to film adaptation, Stargirl with Catherine Hardwicke directing.[17]
