Cotswold District Council is the local authority for the Cotswold District. Cotswold distric is located in East Gloucestershire in the South West of England region. The Council itself is based in Cirencester, the largest settlement in the district, but also comprises Tetbury, Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Fairford, Lechlade and Northleach.
Cotswold District Council elects 34 Councillors from 32 wards. Following the May 2015 local elections, and subsequent by-elections and defections, Cotswold District Council comprised 22 Conservative Councillors and 12 Liberal Democrat Councillors. The current leader of Cotswold District Council is Mark Annett.
History
Cotswold District Council was formed on 1 April 1974 by the merger of the urban district of Cirencester with Cirencester Rural District, North Cotswold Rural District, Northleach Rural District and Tetbury Rural District.

- Caravan Sites
- Planning, including Planning Applications, Advice and Appeals
- Public Conveniences (in some locales)
- Health and Leisure Centres
- Refuse Collection
- Recycling
- Tourism and Visitor Information.
