Daniel Bosco Fernandes (born September 16, 1985) is a Canadian singer and songwriter of Portuguese and Italian descent, and is the younger brother of Canadian artist Shawn Desman. Fernandes is signed to CP Records.
Career
At 16, Danny Fernandes won two consecutive Rising Star awards in the annual CNE dance contest. He became the youngest member of the Toronto Raptors' famed Dance Pak and began to appear regularly as a backup dancer in music videos.[1]
After playing showcases at clubs in Europe (Germany, Switzerland, and Austria), Fernandes signed with the Canadian CP Records (Capital Prophet Records) and released his debut album Intro. Although not a big success, the album Intro did reach #55 in the Billboard Canadian Albums chart. Danny went out on tour as the opening act for the girl group Girlicious[2].
Fernandes has released four singles from his debut album including "Curious"[3] featuring Juelz Santana, "Private Dancer"[4] featuring Belly, "Never Again"[5] and "Fantasy"[6]. "Fantasy" being the most successful and peaking at #25 on the Canadian Hot 100. "Private Dancer", was played on MuchMusic Countdown. Fantasy has spend over 14 weeks on the national radio show. Despite this, it was unable to crack the official Canadian Top 20.
While out on tour Danny and Nichole Cordova of Girlicious had both confirmed that they have been dating since end of 2008. Nichole also appears in Fernandes' music video for Fantasy.
Danny Fernandes was also a judge on the TV show Karaoke Star Jr. alongside Tara Oram[7].

Awards / Nominations
- At the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards on June 21, 2009, Danny Fernandes won the Best Canadian Pop Video of the Year for Private Dancer directed by Ren, produced by Renaud Stanton Dupré through The Field Inc. production company.[8]
- In April-May 2009, he had also been nominated to People's Choice: Favourite New Canadian Artist/Group category and his single "Fantasy" was nominated for People's Choice: Favourite Canadian Video category in the vote leading to 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards.
