Date and time notation in Iran

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Comp.arch (talk | contribs) at 11:33, 26 March 2015 (Seemed obviously wrong, contradicting "written in "year/month/day" " and also following letter if I read correctly.. I thought this might be a script read from right-to-left explaining this, not sure, and only the next Persian script mensiones that.). In Iran, short dates are written in "year/month/day" from; for example: 1992/10/16

۱۳۸۹/۵/۱۶

Long dates start with day, followed by month and ended with year (although one should bear in mind that Persian is read from right to left). For example:

۱۶ مرداد ۱۳۸۹

Both two-digit and four-digit years are valid but months and days are not usually padded with leading zeros.
