David Gogokhia (Georgian: დავით გოგოხია, born 16 July 1987 in Jvari, Georgia) is a Georgian music video, advertising, and short film director.[1]

Early life

David was born in Jvari (Georgia). He spent part of his childhood growing up in Moscow, Russia until his family moved to Georgia. After graduating from Georgian Technical University in 2008, he began working as a web designer for a while. Later, he left a job and started direct short films, commercials, music videos.

Solokhuteuli career

Gogokhia was a director, cameraman and video editor in one of the famous Georgian parody TV-show Solokhuteuli (Georgian: სოლოხუთეული)[2] (eng. Solo Fifth). He directed about 100 parody music videos such as "Hoola Hoop" by Will.I.Am, "C'est Chelou" (Zaho), "Firestarter" (The Prodigy), "Stay" (Rihanna), "Scream and Shout" (Will.I.Am ft. Britney Spears), "Family Portrait" (Pink), "Cleanin' Out My Closet" (Eminem), "Gentleman" (PSY), "Numb" (Linkin Park), "Rolling in the Deep" (Adele), "Homecoming" (Kanye West) etc.

Commercials

Gogokhia has directed commercials for the Wilder energy drink.
