The session stated that Atua-Matariri does not reflect Easter Island or other Polynesian myths, which is simply incorrect. The Polynesian themes of the chant were known since Métraux (1940). I provided enough references to demonstrate how typical Atua-Matariri is of Polynesia in theme and composition.
