It is not rational to maximize one's own payoffs (selfishness is not a rational behaviour), so we cannot *as Wikipedia* claim that acting selfishly is rational. Some might certainly *believe* it is, but that doesn't make it so. So to mend this problem a bit, I have now put "rational" in quotation marks.
