DDRC Healthcare is a British hyperbaric medical organisation located near Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon. It is a UK registered charity (no.279652) and was established in 1980 at Fort Bovisand (then called Diving Diseases Research Centre) to research the effects of diving on human physiology. The Centre moved to its site on Plymouth Science Park in 1996 and their building provides training, treatment and research facilities and houses two Comex chambers which were in use at Fort Bovisand along with a new larger Krug multi-place chamber and a monoplace chamber.

DDRC Healthcare has become a world authority on hyperbaric medical treatments with many publications detailing its work.[1] DDRC Healthcare promotes, provides and works to increase the availability of high quality, cost effective, hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy, through provision of medical treatment and advice; education and training; and research. Patients at DDRC Healthcare include both routine and emergency cases.

DDRC Healthcare has two not-for-profit subsidiaries, DDRC Professional Services and Plymouth Wound Care, both which gift any income generated to DDRC Healthcare to support its charitable work.

DDRC Professional Services, specialises in medical and safety related training, delivered by a highly experienced team. Courses are accredited by both professional bodies and credit awarding bodies, including IMCA and DAN. ELCAS training credits can be used for some of our courses.

Plymouth Wound Care uses extensive experience and skills and up to date facilities provide specialised wound care services, to privately funded patients, and to deliver wound care related research activities.
