Applop was developed in Chhattisgarh, India. The headquarters are situated at Gurgaon, India. with the aim of assisting shopkeepers in the establishment and management of their online stores. The platform had its official launch on 2015. As Applop gained traction, it continued to evolve by introducing key features such as product management, shop customization, and transaction capabilities. Practical tools like passbooks, customer management systems, and QR-Code functionality were integrated to enhance the user experience. "Dukan" is a Hindi word meaning 'Shop' or 'Market' in English.[7]
