Bakaya is a Kashmiri Pandit clan and surname, native to the Kashmir Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, India.^[1]^[2]

Usage

Bakaya as a last name is used by Kashmiri Brahmins and it signifies that Kashmiri person with this name had an ancestor who worked as a revenue defaulter.^[3]
