The Logistic Brigade (B.LOG) is a military unit of the french army.
She's subordinate to the Theater Support and Logistics Command (Commandement de l'Appui et de la Logistique de Théâtre) (CALT)[1].
Presentation
[edit]This brigade was created on the 26th as part of the reorganization of the Army "Armée de terre de combat". It includes personnel from the former logistics command (COMLOG) of the Lille land forces command and the logistics force command post (PCFL). It takes over the role of active logistics command from 2016 to 2024.
Its headquarters is based in Monthléry.
Composition
[edit]Its composition is very close to that of the former logistic command since it replaces it as an operational tool.

Missions
[edit]This operational brigade's mission is to support two French brigades, the divisional support and support elements (EASD) and an allied brigade in addition to its national support. It will bring together, in a large-scale operation, 6,000 logistician combatants, under the command of the general commanding the B.LOG, himself under the orders of the general commanding the engaged division.
Missions by specialty of the brigade
[edit]Transport squadrons (121st RT, 503rd RT, 511th RT, 515th RT and 516th RT)
[edit]They arm command structures throughout the logistics chain to guarantee continuity and permanence of support. Their mission is to transport resources and supply units (fuel, ammunition, etc.).
Escort squadrons (121st RT, 503rd RT, 511th RT and 516th RT)
[edit]They support the movement of units, recognize and monitor routes. They are a major instrument for controlling gap areas and supporting crossing and relief operations. They guarantee the division commander the orderly deployment of his units on the ground, in accordance with his idea of maneuver.
Armored transport squadrons (516th RT, 511th RT and 503rd RT)
[edit]They provide operational mobility to armored units while saving their combat potential. They contribute to the rapid and discreet switching of units from one point to another in order to concentrate resources or create an effect of surprise.
Support squadrons (14th RISLP)
[edit]They manage, store, replenish and distribute materials and equipment for living in the countryside. In particular, they are responsible for water handling and participate in mortuary affairs in the theater of operation.
Medical units (RMed)
[edit]They plan and implement the operational medical units (UMO) of the Army Health Service. They are able to transport the injured under armor to medical structures for their treatment.
Maritime transit squadrons (519th RT)
[edit]They are the projection support unit by sea from France to the theater entrance. They operate at the strategic level, and allow the Army to have a first entry capability from a seafront under the authority of the operations support and delivery center (CSOA).
The logistics brigade, made up of experienced units with valuable expertise, plays a key role for the benefit of the Army by embodying high-intensity support.
