Bryan Battle (born 21 September 1994) is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).[1] Battle was born in Springfield, Missouri, but fights out of Charlotte, North Carolina, and trains at the gym Carolina Combat Sports and Fitness.[2] Battle was the winner of the middleweight division in the 29th season of the show The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), defeating Gilbert Urbina by submission at UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs. Chikadze.[3] Battle originally competed with the nickname "Pooh Bear" but later changed his nickname to "The Butcher." At UFC Fight Night: Rozenstruik vs. Almeida, Battle defeated Gabe Green in only 14 seconds, recording the sixth-fastest knockout in UFC welterweight history.[4][5]
