"California Jam" is a song by Canadian rock band Klaatu. Originally released in December 1974, it was later released on the bands debut album 3:47 EST. The song hit the Canadian Top 40, peaking at No. 36[1]. The band promoted the song, along with "True Life Hero"[2], by making a television appearance on the Keith Hamphire-hosted show Music Machine.[3]
In Canada, this was the band's first record release on Daffodil Records. The two previous singles, "Hanus Of Uranus" and "Doctor Marvello", had been released on GRT Records.
