CineLux Theatres is a second-generation family owned and operated movie theater chain with eight locations mainly in the San Francisco Bay Area and Central Coast. It was established in 1966 and has always been owned and operated by the Gunsky family.[1]

History

Jack Gunsky, founder and former president of CineLux Theatres, opened his first theater in 1966, the Plaza theatre. This theatre is currently operating today as CineLux Plaza Café & Lounge. Jack's son, Paul, took over as president of CineLux Theatres in the early 2000s. Paul is still serving to this day. His son, Christopher, is currently the Area Manager.
