Clive Lindley (1934 - 2018) was a British businessman and political candidate.

In 1971, he founded Roadchef.[1]

Lindley was the Labour Party candidate for Leominster in the February 1974 general election.

On February 5th 1981, Lindley's name was published in The Guardian as a supporter of the Limehouse Declaration.[2] He became the first treasurer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).[3]

In 1983 and 1987, he was the SDP candidate in Monmouth.
