Grant Engineering (UK) Limited, based in Swindon, Wiltshire, United Kingdom, are a company that design, manufacture and supply domestic home heating technologies..[1]

Products[edit]

Grant UK design, manufacture and supply the following heating products; oil boilers, air source heat pumps, hybrid heating products, underfloor heating systems, aluminium radiators, cylinders and solar thermal systems.[2]

Support for Homeowners[edit]

Grant UK offers technical support to homeowners who may have questions or issues regarding their heating systems. This can include troubleshooting assistance over the phone or via email. Grant UK provide recommendations for qualified installers in the homeowner's area.[3]

Support for Installers[edit]

Grant UK provides support for installers by offering training programs, technical support, and resources to help installers with product installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.[4] Grant UK offer a G1 Scheme, which provides installers with the knowledge they need to fit Grant UK products.[5]

History[edit]

Grant Engineering was founded in 1978 by Stephen Grant. Initially, the company focused on the design and manufacture of oil-fired heating products. In 1981, Grant moved to a purpose built 14,000m² factory at Crinkle, Birr. In 1996, Grant UK was established in Salisbury, Wiltshire. In the early 2000s, Grant expanded its product range to include renewable heating solutions, such as solar thermal water heating systems, biomass boilers and air source heat pumps. In 2002, Grant UK moved to facilities in Devizes, Wiltshire and established the Grant UK Training Academy.[6] In 2016, Grant celebrated its 40th anniversary.[7]

In January 2018, the expansion of Grant UK’s HQ in Devizes, Wiltshire, was completed. This expansion increased the size of the storage facilities and offices by over 40%.[8]

Grant UK have won awards over the years. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, Which? awarded them with 'Best Buys (for Vortex and VortexBlue oil boilers).[9][10][11]

Since 2015, Grant UK have been a business partner of Premiership Rugby club Bath Rugby.[12] In 2022, Grant UK announced that they were teaming up with Bath Rugby to create the 'Kick the Carbon' campaign.[13] This campaign showed ways we can contribute to reduce carbon emissions in our daily lives. The videos feature local school children alongside Bath Rugby players, engaging in challenges that demonstrate simple steps to lessen our carbon footprint.[14]

In the 2023/2024 season, Grant UK and Bath Rugby announced that they are delivering a Grassroots Community Sustainability Programme to ten local primary schools. This initiative extends the efforts of the Kick the Carbon campaign introduced by Grant UK and Bath Rugby, aimed at promoting sustainability awareness and educating young students on practical steps toward environmental friendliness and saving heat energy in the home.[15]

In 2022, Grant UK's headquarters moved to a new premises in Swindon, where the offices, warehousing and Grant Training Academy are based over 80,000sqft.[16]
