Lopsang Dokpatsang is a Bollywood actor and bodybuilder. He acted in Qayamat (Lop as Character)[1][2] Janasheen (Lopsang as Character)[1], Talaash (Lopsang as Character)[1], and Taxi Bhaiya (Django), The Champion (Self), and Mr. New York (Self). He won Mr. Manhattan, Mr. New York[3], Eastern Classic Championship, South Asian Championships (Silver).
Bodybuilding
[edit]He won Mr. Manhattan (1992) Shangri-la Muscles Flexed in Manhattan, p. 26, at Google Books, Mr. New York (1992, 1998, & 2001)[4][3][5] and Eastern Classic Championship (1992 & 1998). He won silver medal for South Asian Championships (2001).[6][5]
Acting
[edit]In Qayamat, Lopsang was a radar expert and had a climatic action scene against Ajay Devgun.[2] In Janasheen, Lopsang was the bodyguard of Feroz Khan. He also had a climatic action scene where Feroz Khan shoots Lopsang on the rooftop before he can shoot the protagonist, Fardeen Khan. In Talaash, Lopsang was Kareena Kapoor’s bodyguard. He had a climatic fight scene with Akhshay Kumar on the Maharajah train. In Taxi Bhaiya, Lopsang played Django, the boss of the night club. He threatened the protagonist, Kalani Queypo, and his father, Tirlok Malik. One movie, The Police Officer and the Monk (formerly The New York Police Officer and The Monk), was shot with Lopsang as the star, but never finished its editing phase.[1] Two documentary films, The Champion and Mr. New York, were made.
