Nathan Andres (born Columbus, Ohio) is an American LGBTQ activist and business leader.[1] He has won two Bookfest Awards for his book, "Your Real Life: Get Authentic, Be Resilient & Make It Count!"[2] [Lioncrest Publishing].[3] He attended Jesuit Marquette University in Wisconsin, living in Japan, and worked in business in New York City for over 20 years.[4] His career focused on the industries of beauty and personal care, specialty toy manufacturing, luxury retail, high fashion, and professional sports.[5]
Focus
[edit]Andres addresses the challenges of adversity and change by offering a practical framework for building resilience through his "REAL" model, Reality, Energy, Authenticity, and Love.[6] Grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and best practices in coaching, Andres provides tools to deal with hardship.[7] His book and published works delves into resilience, which he says is inspired by Shakespeare's quote, "To thine own self be true." Andres' personal narratives, intertwined with broader examinations of life's challenges, resonate deeply with readers, making the book both insightful and accessible.[8]
Background
[edit]As a Columbus, Ohio native, Andres has traveled extensively and spent nearly 20 years in Asia-Pacific, including Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Currently residing in Washington, D.C., he is a four-time marathon finisher who enjoys tennis, yoga, strength training, meditation, and movies. As an avid well-being, mental health, and LGBTQ activist, his extensive experience and dedication to personal growth have made him a popular public and online speaker.[9]
