He graduated in Economics from Sapienza University of Rome in 1991 and was awarded a PhD in Management Engineering by University of Rome Tor Vergata.[1].
In 1998, he worked as an Assistant Professor in Management Engineering at the University of Perugia.
In 2001, he was appointed Associate Professor at University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he taught courses in Business Management and Analysis of Financial Systems at the Faculty of Engineering.
In 2001, he established and managed a 2-year postgraduate course in Engineering for Public Administrations. In 2005, at 37, he became a Full Professor in Management Engineering.
In 2010, he was named Head of the Department of Enterprise Engineering “Mario Lucertini”.
In 2019, while Orazio Schillaci held the position of Rector, he served as Deputy Rector.
Since 2021, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Association of management Engineering (AilG).[2]
In December 2022, he assumed the role of Rector of University of Rome Tor Vergata. In his capacity, he is actively involved in addressing various challenges, such as promoting the modernization of academic infrastructures. The recent ceremony, marking the laying of the first stone of the new buildings for University of Rome Tor Vergata students and the inauguration of the 41st academic year (2023-2024), bears witness to his unfaltering commitment[3]
Research activity
[edit]Levialdi’s research activity is primarily focused on sustainability. In the context of circular economy, he has developed innovative methods and approaches to address social and environmental issues, thus tackling the challenges of this new era. His research fields include public administration, health administration management, Industry 4.0.
Personal life
