Practical Magic 2 is an upcoming American fantasy romantic drama film written by Akiva Goldsman as a sequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic. The film adapts the novel The Book of Magic, a sequel to the original novel, by Alice Hoffman. The film stars Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, who would reprise their roles from the first film, and produce alongside Denise Di Novi.

[edit]On June 10, 2024, Warner Bros. Pictures announced that a sequel to the 1998 film Practical Magic was in development with Akiva Goldsman writing the script. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman were in negotiations to reprise their roles and produce the film with Denise Di Novi.[1] On June 13, 2024, Kidman confirmed that she would return, alongside Bullock.[2]
In July, Di Novi stated that the sequel was based on the sequel novel The Book of Magic, also by Alice Hoffman.[3] Di Novi also claimed that the team hoped to film in 2025.[4]
