Kyliss Keron Martin, born January 10, 2000, better known as SKAITHEMUSICMAN, is a Bahamian rapper, singer, songwriter, poet, record producer and engineer from Nassau, Bahamas. At the age of 10 he began dabbling in music with his first inspiration being Michael Jackson. Later on he was influenced by Eminem’s music, ultimately falling in love with rap.
Throughout high school, he actively engaged in frequent rap battles and later affiliated himself with a group named Neon Ink. Following creative divergences within the group, he embarked on a solo path and continued to pursue his musical aspirations. Subsequently, in collaboration with his lifelong friend, Louie (Mark Sawyer), they co-founded the record label Now & Forever Records. Within this creative haven, SKAITHEMUSICMAN assumes the role of the label's principal artist, while Louie, as the chief producer, orchestrates behind the scenes to ensure the seamless functioning of their musical endeavors.
Eminem, Logic, Drake, Russ, and NF stand as pivotal influences shaping SKAITHEMUSICMAN's sonic identity. Commencing music production at the age of 18, upon acquiring essential equipment, he drew inspiration from the late Speaker Knockerz, LondonOnDaTrack, Metro Boomin', Ryan Leslie, and OG Parker.
The name "SKAITHEMUSICMAN" reflects his desire to exhibit versatility across diverse musical genres. In his own words, he is just "all about the music, man," even dubbing himself "The Friendly Neighborhood Rapper." His overarching ambition extends beyond personal success; he aspires to unify people through the profound impact of his music and emerge as a powerful mogul in the entertainment industry.
