Sheffield, UK artist Caroline Appleyard, in collaboration with photographer Dean Hodson, started to create climate-change activist art - or artivism - in 2018.^[1] Using the alias Scapa Joe, they aim to raise awareness of the environmental impact of human activities, using found and reclaimed materials. ^[2]

The painting Silky Street ^[3] was created to support the Shark Trust's Big Shark Pledge campaign in 2023.
