Introduction[edit]
Sosa Mikey, born Michael Moore, is an American rapper/songwriter from Chattanooga, Tennessee. Michael was born on March 21, 2001. He is known for his versatility and diversity in styles and sounds.
Story[edit]
Michael grew up in the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, which was and still is quite a dangerous city, as gang activity and violence have plagued it for many years as a result of poverty, lack of opportunity, and lousy gun control.
Sosa Mikey has managed to survive that environment, but it certainly did pressure him into making certain moves. At age 14, Sosa Mikey began to engage in implicit activities to make a living. To him, at the time, it was the only way to survive. Nonetheless, in such circumstances, inevitably, trouble occurs.
Over the years, he has been arrested and served multiple jail sentences. He survived a handful of gang shootouts as they were (still are) quite frequent in Chattanooga, or “Shootanooga” as Sosa Mikey would call it.
Hip-hop music was always the closest to his heart growing up in the East Lake 4th Avenue neighborhood–the same hood as rapper Slatt Zy. Sosa Mikey started making music when he was 15 years old. He grew up listening to the likes of Chief Keef, NBA YoungBoy, and XXXTentacion.
Earlier this year, Sosa Mikey emerged from his last and final jail sentence with a new resolve to walk a different path. He decided to distance himself from all the distractions. He finally decided to put his foot on the gas and chase his goal of hip-hop stardom.
Since then, he has grown his social media presence and collaborated with several artists, such as YungSimmie305 and Lil Flash. He later went on to create his underground record label, Vroom Records.
