Early life and education

[edit]

Partridge grew up in Ottawa, Canada.[5] He holds a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Ottawa, earned in 1997, with a focus on sport science, psychomotor learning, and coaching.[1][6] He also obtained a Bachelor of Science in IT management from the Information Technology Institute, completed in 2001. In 2014, Partridge attended the Entrepreneurship Institute at Cambridge Judge Business School to study entrepreneurship.[7]

Career

[edit]

Partridge began his career as a swimmer. In 1991, while training for the Olympics, Partridge dislocated his shoulder but still competed in the Olympic trials, although he did not advance. He has participated in the national championships six times and the Olympic trials twice. These experiences in competitive swimming have influenced his career in the tech business sector.[1]

From February 2001 to January 2007, Partridge was the senior vice president of Operations at Ideal Publishing (Ag Dealer Ltd), owned by DirectWest, a Crown subsidiary, where he oversaw operations. Simultaneously, from February 2007 to March 2013, he held two CEO positions.[6]

Partridge is a board member of Start Up Canada and provides coaching for startups and small businesses. He also has been the president of Im2Media Inc. since 1998, a company that specializes in information marketing and management across multiple media platforms. He also helps organize FreshFounder.com and co-founded B2Kite.com, a network for kite-surfing entrepreneurs.[1]
