The Lotus Eaters (officially Lotus Eater Media Limited.[1]) is a British podcast and media platform created by influencer Carl Benjamin (AKA Sargon of Akkad) in late 2020. The Lotus Eaters produces a live podcast every weekday as well as additional content such as Epochs, a history series, and Symposium, a philosophy series. The podcast and other content has featured guests including Matt Le Tissier[2], Leo Kearse[3] and Kellie-Jay Keen[4]
Every weekday, "The Podcast of The Lotus Eaters" is streamed live. The podcast is typically hosted by two or three of the hosts. Each host presents a segment or two usually regarding current affairs. The podcast contains a total of three segments each roughly 25 minutes long.
The podcast is streamed live on Rumble and Odysee. The individual podcast segments are uploaded to YouTube, Rumble and Odysee afterwards.

Criticism
[edit]The Lotus Eaters have received criticism most notably from the advocacy group Hope not Hate which mentioned The Lotus Eaters and their founder Carl Benjamin in their "state of hate 2024" report and have written a "case file" on the organisation.[23][24]
