UpskillsTutor (Also kwonw as Buki in Ukraine) is a Ukrainian Edtech company company for finding teachers (tutors), which as of September 2022 had 90 thousand teachers.[1][2]. UpskillsTutor is a service for individual online learning with tutors. The company was founded in August 2014 . As of September 2022, about 400 thousand visitors use the company's services every month , registered tutors represent more than 250 settlements in USA and 7 countries. The UpskillTutor website features tutors in school and university subjects, foreign language teachers, and creative areas. You can choose a tutor by place of study (city, district, or distance learning), subject, level of knowledge, and price for the service. Each tutor's rating is based on students' feedback. Registered users have created about 200 video lessons on preparing for the ACT (test) in the following disciplines: mathematics, physics, chemistry, and geography. They are publicly available in the Video Lessons section of and on YouTube.

Distribution in the world[edit]

In August 2014 physics students in a dormitory launch a tutor search service and register site for Ukranian to help fellow students find students for extra classes. In August 2016, the Polish version of the website was launched[3] . As of October 2018, the company's services in Poland were used by about 3000 private teachers from more than 100 cities in Poland and 50,000 users monthly . In December 2016, a version of the website was launched in Kazakhstan at . As of October 2018, about 1,000 private tutors from more than 20 cities in Kazakhstan used the company's services in Kazakhstan[4] . In March 2018, the Nigerian version of the website was launched[5] at . In December 2018, a version was launched in Spain[6]. In Februaryr 2019, a version was launched in USA. In 2020, a version was opened in Mexico[7] . As of September 2021, 89.8[8] thousand tutors were registered on the service in all countries, and 255.6 thousand orders from customers were processed. In 2020, the company launched the BUKI School subproduct, which is available in Ukraine, Poland, and Kazakhstan .

In 2022 and 2023, BUKI is included in the list of the top 200 most promising educational companies in Europe according to HolonIQ[9] In 2023, the company's co-founder Vadym Synzheretskyi was included in the Forbes 30 under 30[10] list in the European list in the category "Social Impact" .
