The following Wikipedia contributor may be personally or professionally connected to the subject of this draft. Relevant policies and guidelines may include conflict of interest, autobiography, and neutral point of view.
That's a pretty long lede with few citations and with various subjective judgements ("many talents", "unusual aptitude", "wide-ranging interests", "went out of his way to keep in touch", "many outstanding achievements", "largely been overlooked and ignored". Each of these is subjective to a degree that it would require a citation.
Also "was offered the post of as head of the British Council for Australasia" certainly needs citation, since it tends to be very difficult to track evidence of a job offer that was refused. - Jmabel | Talk19:38, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Helpful comments, thank you. I am rewriting and removing the subjective comments.
I've reread about writing an introduction so working on it to match the guidelines.
