Education in Somaliland

Education in Somaliland, an unrecognized state in Eastern Africa, is administered by the Ministry of Education in Somaliland. Education contains both private and public schooling systems.

Schools in Somaliland may have public or private.The teachers are well educated in university. Most of the young adults have a degree and are learning to develop Somaliland.

Criticism

Critics cite the outdated public school system, school privatization, inadequate infrastructure.[1] are hindering the education system in Somaliland.

Tertiary Education

There are an abundance of tertiary education centres in the Hargeisa area, such as the University of Hargeisa, Somaliland University of Technology, Gollis University, and Edna Adan Maternity Hospital.[2]
