National Road 5 (also known as Pärnu–Rakvere-Sõmeru maantee; Pärnu-Rakvere-Sõmeru highway) begins from Pärnu at Uuesilla. After this the road runs through the city for 2,4 km, after which it crosses the city limits. The Pärnu-Rakvere-Sõmeru highway runs in diagonally across Estonia. The highway ends on the T1 at Sõmeru.

Route

For 1,8 km, the road is a dual carriageway at Mäo. The total length of the road is 184,3 km.
