Reverted to b&w

[edit]

I know some people may not like this, but I reverted the image back to its original black and white rendition, which I think more truly reflects the monochromatic appearance of the original game. --Brandon Dilbeck 20:26, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was comparing the articles Pokemon Red and Blue with Pokemon Yellow and Pokemon Fire and Leaf and didn´t understand why the Game Boy version screenshot was colored, me as a user, prefer the w & b version. --

Pink background

[edit]

Can I ask why this picture is repeatedly reverted to a version where there is a pink background? I had updated the picture with color correction (so the background was white), but it has reverted back to an off-color version each time. --Brandon Dilbeck 18:50, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Labeled Incorrectly

[edit]

This game could not be from Pokemon red; the pallate clearly demonstrates that it is from Pokemon Yellow. Me2NiK 03:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hate to tell you, but you're wrong. Look closely, Pokemon Yellow uses another sprite for Charmander.—♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 08:31, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The game was played on Super Game Boy or Pokémon Stadium or something. --Brandon Dilbeck 00:38, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Even the Super Game Boy didn't display this many colours if the game if the game did not specifically support it. I played Pokemon Red on Super Game Boy, and it never looked this good. As per Me2NiK, I concur that this is not truly Pokemon Red. -- ianiceboy (talk) 12:52, 6 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Even if it is from a Super GameBoy or Pokemon Stadium game, that shouldn't matter as the original games are monochrome. The rationale for reverting to a colored version was that it "looks better", which ultimately is a matter of preference and shouldn't have any bearing. Personally, I think the monocrome version more accurately illustrates the game than a colored version from a later period. --Our Lady Overkill (talk) 12:15, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
