The Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) is a nationwide organization in the Philippines composed of the top human rights lawyers. It is the first and largest group of human rights lawyers established in the nation. They work on the protection against all varied abuses of human rights and civil liberties. It was founded in 1974 by Sen. Jose Diokno, Lorenzo Tañada and Joker Arroyo during the Martial Law Era under ex-President Ferdinand Marcos. The current chairman is Atty. Jose Manuel Diokno, the founding dean of the De La Salle University College of Law.
