The GMC Chevette is an automobile which was manufactured by GMC in Argentina from 1980 to 1995. It is a variation on the General Motors T-car platform which includes Opel Kadett, Chevrolet Chevette and Isuzu Gemini. This model of the small family car differed from the German model as it had a 1.8 engine designed entirely in Argentina. It was replaced by the Chevrolet Kadett in 1995. It is believed to be the only "pure" passenger car (as opposed to SUV or crossover) marketed under the GMC brand name.
